Organization in your dreamy dorm room!!!

*Raise the bed up! Some colleges offer this system with their beds, if not get risers.

*Portable storage drawers for under the bed. You can use the drawers for clothes, linens, or extra papers.

*Shelving! You will have so many books and need somewhere to put them. We used to use milk crates and now they are also colorful to work with your bedding. Put some premade shelves inbetween the crates and you have instant shelves.

*If the closet is wide enough, get a hanging bar for double hanging your clothes. You can also get a hanging basket system for clothes.

*Also for the closet, a shoe rack holder so you don't have shoes all over the floor taking up valuable space.

Style for the dreamy dorm!

*You will have a very cold linoleum floor, get a great looking area rug to coordinate with your bedding. Not only does your floor look great it feels great on the cold winter days!

* Dorm rooms only have the big overhead flourescent light, add a good looking lamp for beside the bed and one for your desk. When your room mate wants to sleep the overhead light won't have to be one when you are cramming for the test!

*Keep a clean, tidy, organized room .

The "IN" colors of your dreamy dorm!

*brown with pink, blue, or green

*Orange is still very hot

*Pink , pink and green is a good traditional and preppy look

*Blue and green, restful and calming

* Also think, bohemian chic!

Checklist for your dreamy dorm room!

*2 sets of sheets

*Duvet or coverlet

*Fitted mattress pad and blanket

*Pillows, and lots of them to add comfort!

*Large area rug
